Our latest custom designed wedding invitations have vintage rustic charm! For a couple that loves the outdoors and will be getting married at the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers, what better theme could there be than kraft botanical information cards? The suite includes cards for the ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, day-after bbq, and rsvp. All cards were stacked and held together with twine for an extra rustic touch.

Ladies and Gentlemen, guess what we forgot to tell you about? Our Boxcar Press feature! That's right, Press 65 was featured by Boxcar Press (one of the best letterpress resources today) a couple months ago; and in all the excitement, it slipped our minds to post it here for you to see. In our interview, we discuss the fine line between art and design, the nuances of our creative space, and even some tips for when you're in the studio. Check the article out here and share it on these here interwebs!

Re-blog thanks to People of Print: Illustrator Mr Bingo was drunk late one night in his studio and tweeted, “I will send a postcard with an offensive message on to the first person who replies to this tweet”. Within the first minute over 50 people replied and over the last twelve months Bingo has posted out artistic abuse to more than 550 people, each piece of slander comes accompanied with an original illustration on the back of a pleasant vintage postcard. One of our latest letterpress projects involved printing a client's own design. After discussing the design the client would be providing us with, we decided Crane's Lettra 220 lb. would be the best paper option. The results were beautiful.

Press 65 is thrilled to announce that Paola's limited edition artist's book From Inside has been selected to appear in Lark Books' 500 Handmade Books, Volume 2! The book's author is Julie Chen of Flying Fish Press. The book's description reads as follows: "Everyone who loved the original 500 Handmade Books will eagerly dip into this visually dynamic follow-up. Offering 500 stunning new creations by an international roster of artists, it showcases the unlimited creative possibilities of books as objects and as sculptural pieces. Along with traditional, richly embellished volumes, boundary-pushing works unfurl, scroll, and flip; feature improbable materials like metal, fabric, wood, and glass; and include lush, handcrafted papers." 500 Handmade Books, Volume 2 will be available September 2013. The photography galleries at Pier 24 in San Francisco are the largest photography exhibition space in the world. Here are some of my favorite images from our exclusive visit today. The photos in one gallery juxtaposed portraits of the wealthy with portraits of the poor. Subjects hand-wrote their reactions to their portraits on the prints themselves.
