 The 42nd SGC International Printmaking Conference will be held in the San Francisco Bay Area March 26-29, 2014. Various exhibitions will be running concurrently with the Conference; and on Wednesday, March 26th, the Academy of Art University will hold the opening reception for its Printmaking and Book Arts show.
Two of Paola's books will be exhibited at the Academy of Art University show: From Inside and the untitled book informally known as the dream book.  Press 65 is thrilled to announce that Paola's limited edition artist's book From Inside has been selected to appear in Lark Books' 500 Handmade Books, Volume 2! The book's author is Julie Chen of Flying Fish Press.
The book's description reads as follows: "Everyone who loved the original 500 Handmade Books will eagerly dip into this visually dynamic follow-up. Offering 500 stunning new creations by an international roster of artists, it showcases the unlimited creative possibilities of books as objects and as sculptural pieces. I completely agree. Which is why I loved the idea of the new fragrance "Paper Passion." The perfume is designed by Geza Schoen and Gerhard Steidl for book lovers, and smells like a freshly printed book. The packaging, designed by Karl Lagerfeld and Steidl, is also quite fantastic.
